Have Questions?
We're Here to Help.
We have caregivers on-site 24/7, so your dad will never be alone in an emergency. If something happens – day or night – our staff will respond immediately, assess the situation, and call 911 or a nurse if needed. We’ll also contact you right away, so you’re informed and involved. Your dad’s safety is our top priority, and we’re always prepared to get him the help he needs quickly.
Absolutely! We encourage families to make their loved one’s room feel just like home. You’re welcome to bring that favorite recliner, cherished photos, and any other decor that will comfort your dad. Our team can even help arrange the room just the way he likes it. We want him to feel this is his space – cozy, familiar, and filled with the things he loves.
Yes, our caregivers assist with all daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. We know your mom might need a gentle hand with these personal tasks, and we’re here to help while always respecting her privacy and dignity. Whether it’s getting ready in the morning or a comforting bedtime routine, we support her every step of the way so she feels safe and cared for.
All our meals are home-cooked and nutritious, and we definitely accommodate special diets like diabetic needs, low-salt, or any personal preferences. We cook a variety of tasty dishes in our own kitchen, much like a family dinner. If your dad has favorite foods or dietary restrictions, we tailor the menu so he can enjoy his meals worry-free. Eating should be enjoyable and safe, and we make sure it’s both.
Garden View Manor is a small home – we care for no more than six residents at a time. With such a cozy group, each senior gets a lot of one-on-one attention throughout the day. Our staff-to-resident ratio is high, meaning there’s always someone available to chat with your dad, help him when needed, and check on him regularly. He won’t ever feel like “just a number” here; we really get to know him and his needs personally.
Our days are comfortable and engaging. In the morning, we usually start with a friendly breakfast around the table, and maybe some light exercise or a puzzle to get going. Throughout the day, we offer simple activities like gardening in the backyard, baking cookies, or watching classic movies together in the living room. Of course, your mom can always choose how she spends her day – whether joining in a sing-along, sitting outside on the patio for fresh air, or just relaxing with a book. With only a few residents here, there’s always conversation and companionship, so she’ll have plenty of social interaction and never feel alone.
We are very diligent with medical care and medications. Our caregivers make sure your mom takes all her medications on time and exactly as prescribed – you can count on us not to miss a dose. We also have a registered nurse on call 24/7 to consult if any medical concerns come up, and we work closely with doctors, home health nurses, or therapists whenever needed. So while we’re a home setting, your mom will still get professional oversight for her health. If anything changes with her health, we’ll respond promptly and keep you updated, ensuring she always receives the care she needs.
Family is always welcome at Garden View Manor. We don’t have rigid visiting hours – you can come by pretty much whenever it’s convenient for you and your family. (We just ask for a little heads-up if it’s very late at night.) You’re also more than welcome to take your dad out for a special occasion or family gathering. Just let us know your plans, and we’ll have him ready to go enjoy time with you. We know how important those family moments are, and we want this to feel like home for your dad and for you.
The biggest difference is the intimate, home-like setting. We’re not a big facility with long hallways and dozens of residents. Garden View Manor is actually a cozy house in a residential neighborhood, caring for just a handful of seniors, so it truly feels like living in a family home. This means we can provide very personalized care – we cook meals in a family kitchen, celebrate birthdays together, and adapt daily routines to each resident’s needs and preferences. Your mom won’t get lost in the shuffle here; it’s a warm, quiet environment with familiar faces and consistent caregivers who treat her like family. Many families tell us it’s like having their parent cared for by a close relative rather than in an institution.
